After Jaye took off (and he wasn't exactly upset about how long she'd stayed, given the choice of activities), Alec showered and returned to 311.
He stripped the bed - both of them, since Tyler's had recieved its own share of use last night - and stuffed the sheets in the hamper as he noted to do laundry later.
He'd been pretty busy the last couple of days, actually. Friday morning, he'd smelled coffee and followed that scent to the
2nd floor CR, where he'd
been given toast and coffee by a guy named Jack,
met Isabel (and talked about porn, hey!), chatted with both
Jamie and
Buffy, and
given a hug to a chilled Cedric. Thinking back on that, he mused that Cedric was... pretty friendly. Huh.
And as that'd been Shirtless Friday, there had been the pre-ordained
gathering later on (after Tyler had gotten himself blown up and shuffled off to the clinic, for which he'd have to thank the guy later, really). He'd
talked to Briar about a Co-Ed Shirtless Day,
discussed haircuts with Dean and Sammy (and was probably well on his way to making sure Sammy didn't like him much, but how could he resist when it was so easy?),
had some guy point out his and Dean's resemblance, then
Z had said she liked Dean's hair better (but there was no accounting for taste sometimes, and she was still hot), and
de-shirted Hamlet. He'd also
met another cute blonde named Chloe,
had his picture taken by Parker, who then told him Cordelia was single (woo!) but that Isabel was her friend (possibly implying that hitting on her would be tantamount to asking for an ass-kicking) and that Zero had a boyfriend and that said boyfriend might be a relative of Parker's (again implying possible ass-kicking). Greg had also
enlightened him on the Tyler situation, just before he'd
found Cordelia and went off to
make use of their mutual shirtlessness.
Shirtless Friday was, as far as he was concerned, a big success.
Most of Saturday he'd handwavily spent lying around bored, but venturing out in the evening had found him in the
2nd floor commons again.
He'd finally found out
Hamlet's name and been warned about the pool and about emo (and he reminded himself again to stock up on Twinkies). Rory had
warned him about the Sex-Ed teacher, and expressed concern over his well-being. Some guy named Fry
was being threatened by his roomie and Alec had suggested a solution that seemed to make the guy go away at least. He'd also met Callisto,
his Wilderness and Survival teacher, who was also hot and wore leather. And then he'd capped off the evening with Jaye,
who was very welcoming.
Very very welcoming.
Alec grabbed another pill and dry-swallowed it -- and nearly choked as something meowed reproachfully behind him. Turning around, he saw
a cat perched on Tyler's bed.
Oh right. The cat.
Casting her a wary look, Alec moved to rummage through Tyler's stuff, handwavily finding cat food for her. As he poured some out, she wrapped herself around his ankles, purring like a mad thing, which was kinda cute in a way. He patted her on the head before stepping back, wondering where she'd been hiding the past couple days.
Ah well, no big deal. It's not like she'd interrupted or anything, so he was willing to ignore her if she wanted to ignore him. It'd be a beautiful friendship based on mutual non-acknowledgement. He smiled to himself and decided to find out what was going on elsewhere in Fandom. Getting dressed, he opened the door and called back, "'Bye Kitty. If you piss on a bed, just make sure it's not mine, okay?"
