Alec ducked back into his room to change for his date with Jaye, grabbing a pill and washing up a bit after having spent the afternoon
down at the beach.
Alec was really ready for things to quiet a down a bit - law of averages, right? Since the last long, babbling linkdrop thing time he'd really thought about things, a lot had gone on.
The last
cheerleading practice on Wednesday had been a bit more exciting, what with the big game coming up, though Dean's body hadn't been nearly as fun to practice in than his own, what with the lack of strength that he was used to. All that had been pretty much forgotten when he'd followed Sam to Dean and caught him just as he'd
seized, badly. Alec breathed out slowly, trying not to think too hard on how much it'd scared him. For Dean as well as his body, if he really wanted to be honest.
Thursday had been not too bad, considering. He'd been at
Wilderness Survival: Nudity Edition, up until he'd switched back and ended up in
Dean's bed. He'd apparently managed to fool Dawn, at least for a bit, but he didn't honestly feel quite right leading her on for too long. And Dean hadn't really been angry about the sudden skin show he'd been dropped into and had even helped him make an art project in
Sex Ed, which he'd show in the
art fair on Friday.
The thing that most grated about the week was the
talk with Dean on the roof. Dean knew him better than anyone already, and that - exactly that - made him dangerous and uncomfortable to be around. Alec was his own person, had fought hard to keep his personality and his thoughts and to have anyone come in and turn him around and make him question himself -- it made him think of Rachel, actually, which was a tangent he quickly repressed.
Alec rolled his shoulders, shaking off that line of thought, and tried to think of better things - like the
Gremlins game that'd gone well from a cheering stand-point if nothing else, and the
after-party too (not to mention
that night with D'anna and the comfortable
morning after).
And, of course, he had his date with Jaye, which he realized he'd better get going for. Casual or not, he liked her enough to not blow her off, especially since food was involved.
On the way out, he noticed the
yellow fish on the door and wondered if Tyler'd had a fit of whimsy. Alec shrugged and filed it away for later, heading on down the hall to find Jaye and
get some dinner.
