Wow I haven't updated since July. That was 3 months ago!
Not much has been going on since then.
Greg visited me in Tennessee, and lots of drama went down family-wise. It was ridic.
I moved back home at the end of August, it was very sad! I miss everyone a lot, it was a good summer. Better than I imagined, for sure! I'm really sad that I won't have time to go back next year, but hopefully I can make a trip to visit everyone! That'd be amazing!
Howeverrrr--I found out I got into the finals for this competition I entered with the DOE. I wrote a paper and made a poster and I get to take one of my professors and go present it in November, so hopefully I can see a few people while I'm there!! The grand prize is $10,000. I hope I win. That'd be amazing. I'd even take 3rd place, haha. I could really use the money for things.
I piddled around the rest of the summer and still haven't managed to get a job. I applied everywhere engineering related for a part time job, but haven't found one, so I stooped to a lower level and upped my effort this week and applied in retail. Ugh. Holiday season + retail = disasteriffic. I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm broke, so it's got to happen sooner or later.
School started and it's pretty terrible. Not as terrible as last year, oh my goodness--staying at school everyday until like 8 or 9 was crap. This year isn't as bad, I've learned to manage my time better, but my classes are no fun at all. Physical Chemistry, Process Control and Dynamics, Engineering Economics and Strategy, and Greek Mythology. None of them are fun. Greek mythology wouldn't be bad, but I've got lots of reading I don't really have time for. Next week I have four midterms, it should be fabulous. I pray everyday that I can get A's this quarter. It would help my GPA so much. I'd feel so much more confident about the rest of the year. I'm almost done with my ChemE classes! Ahhh. I'm about tired of that crap! Haha.
Speaking of which, I looked into it and realized I have time, so I'm adding a nuclear engineering minor. It sounds so freakin' cool! I'm really excited about it. I probably won't start any of my nuke classes until spring, though, but next year will be filled with them. Hip hip!
That's about all that's been going on. Greg comes home in about a month and a half--I believe December 2nd is when they leave, but it'll be at least a week before they get home since he makes other stops along the way. But that's exciting! I miss him a lot. Things are going to be so different when he gets back. I'm used to having other things to do now, but I'm sure we'll work it out.
Well, sadly, after three months, that's all I've got to say. I haven't talked to anyone who reads this much lately, so if anything interesting happened to you, I'd be glad to hear about it and you should call me sometime.
