Wow...last night...
Since Scott was still feeling a bit under the weather and was staying home, and sicne my friend Crystal never gave me a call back about what she was doing this weekend, I went over to Sarah Gardners house and hung out at her party. I was naturally the first one there and we started drinking around 5:30. Drank straight through until 11. Yes, by that time, I was pretty well sloshed, though no one really noticed because I was doing a great job keeping it under control. Had a gazillion screwdrivers, some rasberry pucker and sprites, and then some pina coladas, jello shots, tequilla shots.....
ANYWAYS, a completely random chance meeting happened last night!!!! My friend Rochelle and I have a mutual friend named Hobbes. Anyways, I've never actually MET Hobbes, just talked to him on the phone way before I went out to CA. Then, when he started getting so busy at work I couldn't get a hold of him for months, I figured I would just stop calling him, and then I haven't heard from him since. Well, Sarah invited a bunch of co-workers who had friends they brought who all went to the MIdlakes region schools. One guy sat down, started talking about how he used to work in a hospital, and his voice sounded oddly familiar.
YES!!! IT WAS HOBBES!!!! *^_^* So I lept up and hugged him (mind you, I was well on my way to being a yopperai (sp?) by this time) and kinda shocked him with that, but he hugged me back. We talked a lot during the night and it was cool. *^_^*
Ryan Lau, one of my brother Shane's odd friends was there as well. He's good friends with Sarah now apparently. Anyways, I didn't think I would even be talking to him, but DAAAAAAAAMN!!! We talked a LOT about a lot of things too, LOL! And he was getting so drunk to the point he was trying to dance with me and make a move on me. But yeah...like I said, I may be drunk, but I can completely hold my own and stay rational. Instead, I tried picking a fight with him, getting all loud and pushy, and Hobbes broke us up. LOL!
Later on, I was feeling kinda down because I was thinking of how I wished Scott was there, but also wishing that I had a phone handy to call Chris with. I wanted to talk to him so bad, tell him what was going on in my life, but he's either been way too busy lately, or worst case scenerio, just doesn't care about my life anymore. Anyways, Hobbes noticed I was by the bonfire by myself and, being the nice guy he is, came and sat down and picked my brain apart for me.
That's when Elizabeth showed up from work, and Emily, who I had no idea was even home for the weekend!!! They kinda interupted me and Hobbes, but I said hey to them anyways, and we chatted a bit.
Then Sarah came over, so sloshed, she could barely stand, and we were on the side of the hill. So me, being the good friend that I am, stood next to her and kept an arm around her shoulders so she wouldn't fall. Then Eric, her BF came over and told me he was so wasted, he couldn't keep an eye on Sarah and asked me to. SO for the next hour, I basically babysat a drunkard.
After that, I had sobered up quite consiterably and left without telling anyone, as is sometimes my style. Sometimes I find it easier to just slip into the shadows and go.
Got home somewhere around 1AM. Called Chris, but again, as is usual, he was too busy to talk to me. So I went and made my bed, and I knew I wasn't going to be able to sleep until I told him. So as I have had to do quite lately when I wanna tell him something, called him back, got his voicemail, and left a message. I was practically crying when I was telling him about how I had a BF, but that I wanted to stay good friends. Chris has done so much for me, means so much to me... I could never lose him as a friend. And because of what we have been through... it is only fair he knows what's going on. I want him to know.
After that, went to bed, and watched the rest of Star Trek: THe Voyage Home that was on AMC until I fell asleep.
Today is SOOO freaking humid out!!! I'm sweating like a pig with the fans on just sitting here! UHG!!! I hope it starts raining a lot sooner than later tonight!!!!! I'm leaving the house around 2 to go have Japanese food at Tokyo in the city with Scott and his parents... meeting him at work. Gunna spend the night at his house because he has monday and tuesday off again. YAY!!! Suposively, Emily is having a bonfire type thingy tonight... kinda wanna go to it, but I have to see if it would be something Scott wants to do first. Should call Em first to verify and to see who else might be popping in. Yep, I wanna show my new guy off!!! (So much easier for me because everyone keeps asking about him... just easier for me if they meet him! XP )
Anyways, going to go finish laundry, make some phone calls, and jump into the pool before I have to jet!
