Oh, how I adore madeleines! I tried my hand at making these buttery cakey morsels of pure heaven for a friend's birthday recently. Funny story, I bought the scalloped pan years ago, before even learning how to bake simply because I liked the look lol.
What I learned:
* Chilling the batter in the pan beforehand is key achieving the desired bump
* Patience is a virtue in making madeleines lol
