I have to admit that "Easter Time" is one of my favorite times of year.  Yes, I'm Pagan, but I am surrounded by Christians and they make this time just deliciously wonderful.

First you have Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras.  There are paczkis and drinking and beads and parades...OH MY!  JOY to any Heathen who loves music, food, parties and alcohol.

I sent out 100 cards.  I have received 27.

Yes, times are tough, BUT, you can get a box of holiday cards pretty cheap these days.  It ends up costing you about 20-30 cents per card.  It costs 42 cents to mail it.  It takes 30 seconds to scribble your name in the card, address it, seal it, stamp it and walk it out to the mail box.  Anyone who ( Read more... )

It came out in the "70's.  It was sung by a man.  It was about a single mom who had no money to buy her two kids presents, so she wrote them a song instead.  You never hear it any more, but it was just so sweet and charming and really about the meaning of Christmas.
