my landlord is a dick

His reply to my email tonight about the water. eta: BWAHAHAHAHAAA...he defriended me on Facebook. That's special.

He is still trying to locate the right tool to get it turned back
on. Apparently, they have shut it off in two different places. I will
let you know as soon as I know. Like I mentioned earlier, if he can
not get it back on, I will have to pay to have it turned on. The bill
is currently $1,000 plus. I will pay this, but it will take time and
they will not turn it on without full payment. If it turns out that
Eddie can not turn the water back on, you may be without water for
some time. If that will be a huge problem, you might want to start
looking for other living arrangements. I have let Markeya know this as
well. She claims to have welfare/children services ready to pay me her
months and months of back rent, but without that money, I can not
afford to turn the water back on soon. As far as the garbage, the city
should be picking this up regardless of the water bill. However, if
they are not, it may very well be the water bill issue. If that is the
case, I would recommend taking your garbage to one of the cans in the
alley. Sorry this is such a clusterfuck. I did not realize that I
would even be still handling this building this far out. I was not
supposed to be. On top of the water bill, I have still been having to
pay for yard work as well. All of this expense without rent is a big
strain. So, please bear with me. Also, I paid to have the overgrown
garden beds cut down. I received a code violation for them. If you
intend to keep them, you will have to maintain them.

I will remind him tomorrow that I still have a lease with him. It stipulates that I shall pay $0 rent, but (and I'll check on this once I find my copy) doesn't say anything about the lack of rent resulting in reduced or non-existent water.

Also, I was just THRILLED when Jane urged me...AGAIN...to seek out a minister because I need an "advocate." I just...really? I HAVE done this...I didn't get a response from anyone. And I still don't see what a minister is going to be able to do for me.

On this note, bedtime. I'm taking a double dose of my Zanaflex, so here's hoping for sleep without any wacky side effects.
