Cumberland Crossing Over, Day 3
I was off work for Memorial Day. I'm not particularly patriotic since I'm keenly aware of the fact that our military hasn't really been doing much since the cold war that could realistically be defined as protecting our country. Even when we were actually attacked and had every good reason to run off and fuck some shit up in someone else's backyard, we went to the backyard of someone we knew had jack shit to do with attacking us. Still, I do respect that it's important that we have a military and I appreciate that they have a hard job. Our veterans should be treated a lot better when they get home than they often are, and the people who use them as a political football should be called out for sending them to war then leaving them in the cold when they're not being paraded around to push an agenda.
