Sandy Plains Court Chronicles, Week 06

I'm chomping at the bit to leave work to head to the Greyhound station and in trying to keep my mind occupied until it's time to leave I remembered that I haven't done my summary of last week yet. That's largely because I've been so wrapped up in anxious and excited anticipation of my trip to New York that little else has been on my mind. To a lesser degree, it's because there's just not really anything too exciting to say about last week.

The most exciting thing for me was replacing my LG Optimus F3 phone with a Kyocera Hydro LIFE. phone for only $50. The Optimus had been giving me a bit of trouble, especially with its GPS being completely worthless. I probably could have survived without replacing it, but if I'm going to be in New York City I figured it was worth a bit of cash to have a phone that was a bit more reliable.

I wish I could have gone to AWA, which was this past weekend, but I wanted to conserve money for my trip to New York. It has really been too long since I've been to a good convention and I really hope to fix that soon. Perhaps I'll make it to one of Chattanooga's conventions this year. I also applied to volunteer for the new InfinityCon (a convention for polyfolk) in February, but haven't heard back on that yet.  We shall see. If nothing else, my kids will be gravely disappointed if I don't take them to Momocon so that is almost certainly happening. Destiny and Rachael have already been pressing me to get preregistered. I think I may have created a monster by taking them this year.
