1. I got five phone calls last night from work. The first one “Wayne I’m not sure if they called you yet but we need you to come in your not on call” The second one, this one was on my cell “Hey, Wayne this is Michele from work I need to talk to you. The third one “Wayne, you’re on call we got an extra extender and the one guy didn’t make it”. The fourth one hey Wayne we need you to come in at seven (this was at 1820 I need to leave by 10 after to make it there by quarter of) The fifth on (on cell) hey Wayne we need you to come in now” same time as the home one. The sixth one I was on my way in “Wayne where are you” Me: ”I’m headed home why?” “Didn’t you get my messages” “No” (I lied) “We need you to come in, ASAP”

Here’s the thing. When they put you on call and call you before the on call time starts you come in normally. If they put you on call and call you in after the on call time starts you get time and a half. I’ve been screwed out of on call time three times running now. Now I only answer my phone once the on call time starts.

2. Turns out that thirty nine year old, had Lung CA w/ mets to the brain, spine, and liver. They gave her thirty days, if that.

3. I presented my project stuff at the Staff meeting this morning. The CPC said that it was pretty good and I should teach during the critical care courses. I have to present again at tonight’s staff meeting too.
