It would be hard to let go

1. Tuesday was Tony’s birthday. I really didn’t feel like going out or staying out that late but it was for Tony. Newman and I meet him at the Watson Inn and then ended up at the Mansion house. You know it was his birthday but somehow he managed to buy two drinks for me for each one that I bought him. I can’t describe what a wonderful guy he is. I never would have thought I would consider a sixty-year-old bartender a great friend but I do.

2. I was flipping through the channels this morning and ended up catching the last twenty minutes of Joe Black. There’s something about that movie that gets me every time.

3. I took care of a thirty nine year old over the weekend. She came in with vertigo and shortness of breath. Lung CA with mets to the brain, possibly to the spine as well. She has a twenty-year-old son and a ten-year-old daughter. Such a nice lady to take care of, and my mother’s age. She only has six months to live maybe. It got me thinking what would I do if I only had six months to live and I’m still thinking. There’s so much.
