This could be fun!
I just got off the phone with the ex, Traveling Man, and we polished up a plan that we've not clued the young one in on yet. He's going to California the day before Halloween and will be there for two weeks. He wanted Mini-me to fly out and join him, but with the post9-11 anti-terrorist stuff, it's apparently a huge hassle for a minor to fly unattended. So he invited me to go with. This all happened over the last two days. We'll be leaving on November 3rd and returning on the 5th. In between, we'll be in San Jose. I told him tonight that I just want to stare at the ocean for two days. I'm pretty excited.
But I'm also wiped out. I've worked almost constantly for several weeks now, and I have to be on the road by 7 tomorrow morning to run payroll checks for my part time job, then go to the "real" job and do some more training. There's a lot going on right now, but I'm too tired to go into any of it.
Notes to self: job, John's bar, young army guy, slightly less young mechanic guy, old boyfriend with little sense of humor. Update.
