Spreading the SPN love

Both of my younger brothers watch the show with me every week. I take credit for getting them hooked. It was all me. :D

My one great sadness in all this SPN joy was that my best friend, my sister, not only didn't watch the show but didn't even want to hear about it! She's been worried about how quickly I became obsessed, concerned that I was taking ( Read more... )

Long comment ahead...

My sister and her husband love SPN (normal love, not fandom kind of love) and were always telling me that I should watch because it was completely me kind of thing.

Very Shallow Secret (and one that my Sam!girl heart is very ashamed of)...I had watched about 5 minutes of "Nightmare" (I think) way back when it was first on and thought....the pretty one doesn't have visions? I think I will pass. I have come to realize that I HATE SAM'S SEASON ONE HAIR.

Anyway, I knew that eventually I would want to watch, so each Christmas I would get that years DVD. There they sat, still in the wrapper, on the DVD shelf. One day last year my husband and I wanted something new, so we put the pilot in. And we were hooked. We sped through every season, even bought each ep of season 4 on itunes and set up the computer on the coffee table to watch. The first ep I watched live was "Death Takes a Holiday" and I haven't missed one since. I also managed to suck in my niece, her boyfriend, and my sister-in-law, so go me. And go you for getting your sister hooked. She clearly has great taste by the way.

I love long comments!

"The pretty one doesn't have visions?" LOL

"She clearly has great taste by the way." Oh, ha! lol.... at least I like Sammy too, so it won't be too awkward. Right now, she's not at all impressed by Dean, so there's not that evenness in our conversations. It's early, though. She may at least come to appreciate my guy as much as I appreciate hers.

You had the DVDs and never watched them? Good thing you and your husband were bored that day. Just think what would have happened if you'd opted for something else instead. The horror! :P
