The Googling - Part I ~ Two young men take a turn down the wrong street view

Short story long: J was messing with google maps street view and got me into playing around with it. He had some elaborate theory about how the street view works (i.e. once they "map" the area via car/van, the satellites can zoom in on that one area and refresh the picture when directed to. I'm nearly positive it's impossible for a satellite to take a photo from a "street view" angle - nearly because J has a way of making me doubt my sanity). I tried to find out how it works in detail but I only got as far as a very, very brief description on the camera orb they use (basically: "it's an orb! w00t!"), when I was distracted by the above vids.
