A Full Moon Card Draw

Jan 13, 2017 01:46

With the current state of politics, I'm feeling more need for insight and inspiration than usual, and I'm thinking my friends might also be feeling the same. So I'm going to try to schedule card readings more often this year, hopefully at least once a month at either the full moon or then new (or possibly both ( Read more... )

Lava lamps and tea, at a dragon table, sounds marvelous, and I'd prefer the Shapeshifters again. No specific question - just whatever the Universe thinks I need to know right now. Thanks!

for you I drew the 7th card of the Air element, which corresponds with Wands. In the foreground of the card is a scruffy tawny dog, but up above is a lion-woman with dragon wings. Her hair and the lioness' ruff are firey, sun-like.

You may not look like much, but your spirit is strong and bright. Your mouth is open, showing that you have something to say and the courage to say it. But maybe you need a little encouragement to believe that people will listen?

There are some feathers falling from the lion woman's human arm, making me think that there are things you can do or say that only you can, ideas or resources that will drift away in the wind if you do not choose to give them voice.

I don't know if these are things of import to many people or if they are "merely" creative things, but voicing them is important, and you do have the capacity for the bravery you need.

I've never had any rapport with dogs, but a Lioness is a cat-woman (Sekhmet and Bast are sometimes considered two aspects of "the same" Goddess), and I do know cats :-)

I almost always have something to say, and I usually do say it, whether or not anybody listens - although I get terribly frustrated when they don't.

I'm trying to figure out what those elusive "feathers" are - what is it that only I can say or do or make, that will make a difference in the world? I know I'm not afraid, but I need to know what my task is!

If you're not needing valor yourself, it seems odd that this would be your card. Hmm....maybe you are supposed to share how to be brave? If that's the case, then the feathers are you passing valor on to others.

Or there's something I'm just not seeing from this card.

Going through a lot in my life right now... would love a card from whatever deck speaks to you about direction for 2017.

Thank you!

Goddess of Earth wyld_dandelyon January 14 2017, 00:52:19 UTC
For you I drew the Goddess of the Earth Element, which corresponds to the Queen of Pentacles in most decks. The mage is a woman in a golden breast-plate and shoulder pauldrons. She has a gold snake or snake bracelet on her left arm, and her right hand is scattering flowers into the world. She wears a mantle of green and rose, and we can see her hare-spirit, also on the left. A bird flies high overhead on one side, and a tree blooms in the background. The imagery flows and moves, one part into another ( ... )

Gah! Was hoping for a much easier description!!! Lol

I love rabbits so maybe I can channel that and be less confrontational, and more peaceful.

Thanks!!

We sit down for tea, and you look over the various teas I have, thinking about what you'd like. There's no hurry. My grandmother's old water boiling pan is on the stove, a flame under it, the Lake Michigan-cold water will take a while to heat ( ... )

I know this is a bit tardy for the Full Moon, but I would enjoy a reading, if you're still feeling the inclination. Perhaps from the Animal Spirits and Goddesses deck with general guidance or whatever they have to tell me...

BTW: checking the Old Farmer's Almanac site regarding this month's Full Moon reminded me that some Native American tribes called it "Wolf Moon" and have a 5 minute clip of wolves howling that had my Arrow-dog entranced. In case you're interested, it's here:

Thank you! I like the implications of this card and welcome the guidance and inspiration Ishtar may offer. The artwork is fascinating.

BTW: A tip is coming your way, as well.

Thank you very much for the tip.

I love Susan Seddon Boulet's art, and find it very inspiring.

May I please have a Faeries Oracle Card?

The piece we spoke about last time is over 12,000 words and not finished yet. That's long for me....

I need to check my finances to see if I can tip.

This visitor is much quieter than the last ones. He comes in quietly, nodding his horned head. His hair is wild and leaves are growing in it. One eye sees normally, and the other is blind to light, but open to other forms of insight. He smiles at you encouragingly ( ... )
