If you've got a Cobra radar detector of the previous generation, you can see the FHP's laser trap at the end of Robert Bond Blvd from about a half a mile away. Without boring everyone with the math, this means that you've got between five and ten seconds (depending on how fast you're going) to slow down before you enter the [alleged] maximum range of the laser (2,000 ft).
