I hate my sleep (or the inability to). All day I could not focus at all on studying for my physiology shelf exam. Around 9 or 10, I was reading and just couldn't stay awake at all so I decided I would go to bed and just wake up early tomorrow and spend most of the time away in a library. Instead, my body and mind decided that they didn't need sleep then. After a while of just lying there, I started to read Stephen Jay Gould's "Rock of Ages" book thinking it may help me get sleepy. After reading 50 facinating pages and still not the least bit ready for sleep, I began studying again.
Now here I am after 3 am reading about the damn endocrine system (which I hate almost as much as the GI) and wide awake and no sleep to be found. Of course, when I finally do sleep and then wake up to study again, I'll be so tired I can't. At least this semester will be over on Wednesday. While med school isn't as bad as I thought it would be, it sure as hell isn't much fun.
I am at least regaining interest is photography and music. I recently picked up the guitar for the first time in who knows how long. And with Erica's gift of a tripod, I've also began to take more pictures. I am also wanting a new lens. I would like to have something like a 70-200 mm F4.0L but I just don't have that kind of cash. A 28-135mm would be a great one also but still, a little expensive for me. A super wide angle like a 10-22mm would be awesome for scenery. Damn expensive hobbies.
Back to studying.
