Up until last week, I always said I had no interest at all in surgery. Then I went to the OR in Petersburg. From Wednesday to Friday, I saw 4 C-sections, 3 hysterectomies, 4 cateract removals, one knee scope, one carpal tunnel, and 3 tubals (one postpartum). I'm going back for more this week. If I was a physician, I would like surgery best... but surgeons have, like, zero life. At least in a level 1 trauma kind of place... you sell your soul to the practice.

Glad you are enjoying the surgery. Whether it's something you want to pursue or not, I think it's great that you are getting out there and experiencing all this stuff in advance.

I faintly remember you being here last week. I do remember being really happy to see you. :-) Thanks again...and no work for me 'til thursday. I talked to Dr. Denise and she advised against it.

Happy for you that you are going to med school! I'm sure you'll do just fine, though it is odd. We are growing up being in graduate school and all!

The beach will be a blast and a half .
