This is the first time I've had a real update on my LJ since... Well, I was in the hotel room. Please bear with me, this is a lot of happy-non-angsty squees and a minor rant on the Bleach VAs.
Here are the VAs to Bleach that I have seen so far. Thank you loads, Sana-chan! :D I've been dying to see this list, and this makes my day!
Ichigo - Johnny Yong Bosch
Rukia - Michelle Ruff
Isshin - Patrick Seitz
Karin - Kate Higgins
Orihime - Stephanie Sheh
Tatsuki - Wendee Lee
Ishida - Derek Stephen Prince
Right... I see I guessed right on Michelle Ruff being on the list, however she's playing one of the characters who I wouldn't have guessed... I'm just used to Ruff voicing cheerful, innocent (or almost-innocent) characters, so I'm surprised to see her VAing Rukia. I'd have expected her to VA Orihime or Yuzu.
I don't know much on Isshin's VA, Seitz. He has experience though, since he's got quite a few anime on his IMDB listing. Sadly, I have not seen any of the characters he's done, so I can't say for sure if he's a good choice.
Johnny Yong Bosch as Ichigo. Personally, I root fore this because he was a former Power Ranger. Anything with a former Power Ranger in it cannot be that bad, Felicity notwithstanding. Anyway, I squee over this, and am quite pleased. Good luck Johnny, we all love you! :D
Kate Higgins for Karin... No, no, no, no no... She;d be better for Yuzu, or even Rukia. Most of the voices I see her in are the "hero-girl who's a kind good person, and liable GF material". She's too pretty to do a tomboy like Karin! D: Still, maybe I'll be proven wrong on this one.
Yuzu and Chad have no VAs listed. Neither does Kon. WHERE'S ALL THE LOVE FOR THEM, HUH? D: Come on! You can't just leave out two major characters and a relatively important minor one! T_T Now I need to wait for Chad's VA info. (Hopes it comes in the next issue of ShouJu.)
All of Wendee Lee's stuff, I know from Digimon. While she's a good VA, the mental image of Tatsuki saying "Momentai" will be a lasting one. I may be forced to draw her in a Terriermon costume, some time during the dub (and a definite Sentai!Ichigo. Come on. Everything's better with Sentai!Ichigo.)
I do like the choice for Stephanie Sheh, for Orihime. Her voicing would be good to hear on Orihime-chan, and her stuff seems close enough to the "sweet nice girl, little crazy" thing Hime-chan's got going. Also, she too has done Digimon VA-work, so she's got FTW on her.
Derek Stephen Prince as Ishida... DOES. NOT. SURPRISE. ME. AT. ALL. I don't think he'd be a bad choice for Ishida, but he's definitely not the most esoteric choice either. Which is a pity, since I like ranting about the esoteric choices.
I'll update about my life later tonight. Right now, I'm going to leave class and call my BF.
