Australian Open SF & predictions for final
R. Nadal [1] d. R. Federer [6] 76(4) 63 63
Well, I'd hoped that the result would be different, but here it is. First set felt like it could go either way, but once Rafa won that tie-break, he really settled in and that was that. Awesome winners from both sides, mostly from Rafa's racquet. Too good, just too good.
The sad part is, it feels like the golden years of their rivalry will soon be (or are already?) over. It was a good run from Federer though.
On to the final! It's S. Wawrinka [8] vs. R. Nadal [1] on Sunday. I predict Nadal in 3 or 4.
I mean, I'm really happy Wawrinka got this far, and am even backing him to win it all, but it's a really tough ask, given his 0-12 record against Nadal so far (makes Federer's 10-23 look waayyyyy better in comparison...). On the other hand, he was 1-15 against Djokovic going into the QF.
Can't help feeling inspired by his tattoo though:
Ever tried? Ever failed? No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.
(That's the first time a tattoo ever did something for me, by the way. That's how awesome it is.)
