Work space set up.
Thanks to sajex and her wonderful father, I was able to get out to IKEA yesterday and buy myself a desk. I put it and my new chair together, and then VERY CAREFULLY took my cintiq out of the box.
It took a bit of fiddling to get it to set up right, though. In the provided instructions, it doesn't say to plug the USB cord in right away. So my cintiq had power and a video signal, since the indicator light was blue, but no display.
So I plugged the USB cable in, and it worked right away!
This could have been because my computer was *convinced* that the generic PnP monitor was the best driver for my beautiful cintiq (who really will soon get a name), even though I was *telling* it that it wasn't.
So: plug the USB cord in right away, right click on the secondary monitor and check 'extend my desktop', and then install the wacom driver. It's not signed, for some reason? My computer was freaking out about that.
I also took a whole *bunch* of pictures, just like if I was chronicling a BJD box opening, because this is likely one of the most expensive things I'll buy for a long time.
Now it's just TAUNTING ME, sitting there looking all pretty. My NuShield shipped yesterday, hopefully, so I am crossing my fingers that it gets here soon.
And the quota is killing everybody already. Hoo-boy.
Now I'm going to go and eat some breakfast, and then figure out what supper will be, and then go and buy everything, as well as trek over to M & M meats for some Onion petals, because my grandma sent me money to buy some. :D
