You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration.

One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out. (:

1. First Name: or Carrie :)

2. Age: 19 as of May

3. Location: MD, USA

4. Occupation: Full-time student and part-time cashier. I go to college at a small liberal arts school, where I'm studying English. I'm a cashier/front-end monitor (basically, a moderator on a forum; I'm given more responsibility but I'm still a cashier xD) at a grocery market chain mostly found in Pennsylvania and Maryland called Weis Markets. I've worked there for over three years and it's filled with pretty cool people. :)

5. Partner: None. All the single ladies raise their hands up!

6. Kids: Nada. I can't really elaborate on this one very much. xD

7. Pets: I have a cat named Zoë! A friend of mine rescued her and her sister from the side of a road and I begged my mom to let me take one in. My last cat, Paws, had died a little less than a year before and I really missed having an animal around the house. Thankfully she said yes! <3

8. Brothers/Sisters: I have a brother named Sean. He's 17 and a pain in my ass, but no matter how rude or self-absorbed he is I still love him. I just can't wait for him to grow up a little bit more. We used to get along really well, and I hope that comes back around as he matures more. :/

9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:

1. College. Like I said, I'm studying English at a liberal arts college. I live on campus most of the time (I go home two weekends a month to work) so needless to say it's a huge part of my life. My favourite class this semester is probably my Horror Fiction class. I'm convinced my professor is a vampire. ;) Haha, no, but in all seriousness I do enjoy school despite the numerous amounts of stress it can give me.

2. Friendships. Online and offline. I'm very much the kind of person who believes friendship is something that is more important than most other things in life. I'd do pretty much anything for the people I care about, and I wish school wasn't so time-consuming so I could have more time to spend with them. As it is, I'm grateful for what I get! I'm hoping that over Thanksgiving Break I can get together with some of my old high school friends, whom I have blessedly stayed in contact with for the most part. :) Thank god for electronics!

3. My family. Particularly my parents. I love them both so much, but sometimes I'm extremely worried for their relationship. They've been married for 25 (or 26 now, I think) years. My mom is an amazing person who always keeps track of the shows playing at the Hippodrome in Baltimore so we can see them together. <3 And my dad's such a goof (on the roof, as he says, though he is never on the roof).

4. Fandom. I think it goes without saying how much fandom is apart of my life. I watch so much TV it worries my mom. xD But I really just love it for the same reason I love reading and writing -- I like analyzing things and people I see on TV. It's a lot less creepy than watching people in real life and analyzing them. xD I learn a lot about people through television shows, which is probably one of the many reasons I like it so much.

10. Parents: Er, I kind of already accidently answered this. xD Haha. But to elaborate, my mom's name is Linda. She's 51 and a nurse in the NICU at John Hopkins Children Center. My dad's name is Anthony and he's... well, I'm not quite sure what he is, as bad as that sounds. xD I'd say "home repairman" but that doesn't quite hit the nail on the head, either. They've been married for (I think) 26 years, and they met on a blind date. :)

11. Who are some of your closest friends:

Best Childhood/HS Friend: Ohhh boy. I'm not gonna be able to pick just one for these, trust me. So here, meet my friends!

Stephanie: I've known Steph since I was in 1st grade, though we fell out of touch from the end of elementary school until high school. But we met again, and she's become one of my best friends and closest confidantes. Though we don't talk nearly as much as we used to nowadays, which is strange. I miss you Steeeph. Come visit me. <3 She's also the person who led me to Kataang Forever, therefore inadvertently introducing me to some of the best friends I will ever have.
Jaimie: Jaimie's been my friend since 6th grade. She's a huge dork (like me) and has a dirty mind (like me). She's one of my few friends who wasn't in the band in high school, yet was friends with most of the band people (like me xD). We have so many running inside-jokes that it's impossible to keep track of them all, and she and her boyfriend are possibly perfect for each other. They also make a very hot vampire couple. Just saying. ;)
Elli: I met Elli at my friend Eleanor's birthday party in 10th grade, and we hit it off right away. :D Thankfully she was friends with my other friends so it wasn't hard to get to know each other. And even though I had only met her 2 months prior, she invited me to her own birthday party in 10th grade! She has impeccable taste in music and TV shows and I always enjoy talking with her. :) I hope to see you over Thanksgiving Break, bb!
Eleanor: THE CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW!! Well, no, that's not quite true. Though she is crazy. I can't remember how I met Eleanor, probably sometime in 9th grade, but she always manages to crack me up. I find it extremely ironic that she's Wiccan, yet she's going to CUA -- a.k.a. Catholic University of America in DC xD She's incredibly smart and a pretty good cellist, if I do say so myself.
Abby: I think I first started to get to know Abby in 10th grade when we had Mrs. Griffin's class together. She was friends with Steph and Eleanor and Jaimie, so it isn't a surprise that I eventually met her. Abby's a pretty cool cat with a huge family and I wouldn't want her to be any other way. :D She also fed me cookies from the pit when we were doing Seussical in 12th grade, haha. I was a jungle animal so we made a whole joke out of "Don't Feed The Animals!" out of it.
Andrea: A similar story to Abby, I officially met Andrea in the same class with Mrs. Griffin as the teacher. It was an English class... god what was it called!? Ugh. Anyway, in one of my Drama classes someone said she was surprised I was Andrea's friend because she "never talks" and, well, though she is quieter I was very surprised when she said that because once you know her she's so much FUN to talk to. xD
And finally, the only male in the group...
Eric: Co-worker and fellow English major, we first met during auditions for West Side Story when I was in 10th grade and he was in 11th, and this kid named Jimmy kept calling him "Tootles" because of his role in Peter Pan that past winter. I didn't know his name then, but I knew it wasn't Tootles. xD I met him again during a Philosophy Club party over the summer, but I didn't get to know him. Then I got my job at Weis, and he had the same job, and one night when it was slow and I was feeling awkward because I was new... he came over from his register and introduced himself. :) He's a very nice guy and incredibly gifted in the poetical area. Seriously, I'm jealous of his poetic skills. xD I could never hope to be as good as he is. But yeah, he's an awesome and talented guy and very good-mannered -- especially when my mom buys him an Amish hat because he decided to grow out a very Amish-looking beard, lol.

I have other HS friends, too, but those are the ones I stay in contact with the most. :)

Best College Friend: Hoo boy. Another list... sorry!

Jojo: One of the coolest and suavest girls I've ever met. She has an air of prestige while not really flaunting it about (or believing she does herself). She's a lot of fun to talk to and someone I can geek out with about Joss Whedon and Neil Patrick Harris. I'm eternally grateful for her friendship. :D
Sarah: Like Jojo, Sarah's an insanely awesome person. She's hilarious and witty and has this biting sarcasm and humor streak that is so uniquely her. She's the kind of person I'd turn to if I just feel like making a bunch of random jokes or need a pick-me-up, because somehow she always manages to make me smile. :D
Alexis: My roommate and a great friend! She's a theatre major and always has a lot of work to do (she's a stage manager for the current play), so I don't get to see her nearly as much as I wish I did. But she's such an awesome person and is one person who shares my love for collecting TV-on-DVD. We occasionally flip-flop watching each other's TV shows. xD It's a lot of fun.
Rachel: The most Twilight-obsessed person I know in RL, and insanely amazing to boot! She read The Time Traveler's Wife when I recommended it to her, and she's just an all-around awesome person. :D And quite musically gifted as well.
Marlene: One of the sweetest and most sincere people I know! It still astounds me that, even though she's insanely religious, she accepts me for not being so. She is such a good person and such a wonderful friend, I'm lucky to know her. <33

Best LJ/Online Friend:
If we're just going with LJ, hands down fallenmagic (though I love you all <3). Ellie's the only person from LJ that I talk to on MSN (I think?), and I'm totally stoked for January when I'll be able to actually meet her. <3 Crazy random happenstances, bb. They do happen. But yes, Ellie is an amazing person and an amazing friend. :D She's someone I can gush about on almost any subject because our likes and dislikes are so similar. xD

All over the internet, though, I have so many great friends to list them all would to make this about twice as long as it already is. So I'm just gonna limit this to LJ and stick with Ellie, with a few name shout-outs to those who also make my life elsewhere:

Rob, Crys, Izzy, Blue, Nikki, Tori, Zoe, Jess, Casey, Girs, Eva, Bill, Katie, and Jazz stand out the most right in the forefront of my mind. :D

And omg, this was insanely long. XD I apologize, and to anyone who's read all the way through... have a cookie! xD
