Here we go. Been a while. As individuals my friends are severely flawed. Unable to comprehend the behavior of others because they aren't willing to really analyze and judge themselves as intensely as they do the people around them. Doing that, of course, may create self-doubt and possibly a lack of confidence, but I do believe that if it is coupled with an appropriate level of caution and reasoning, and most importantly compassion, that doing so can greatly improve the way we interact with one another and seriously fucking reduce the number of incidents that cause stress in our lives. Everyone who has ever heard me give one of my short, inspiring speeches knows that I am a creature of reason, and sometimes offhand, inappropriately timed wise cracks that work well as ice-breakers. But I respect people. People respect me. People recognize me as a 'good' person who they can talk to about whatever. I just wish that others could learn to better express true compassion and empathy.
