Monotreme beaks

There's something I haven't seen mentioned about monotremes in either post about them (and if there's more, then they're not tagged and over 240 posts back). They're the only mammals, and the only vertebrates outside of fish, that use electroreception ( Read more... )

I don't think any of the mammals are venomous.

These creatures do not have nipples. The babies suck milk out of little milk pores. That's adorable.

See, I got a rabies shot before I went to the Philippines because I can't resist petting everyfuckingthing. There are pictures of me with puppies, kitties, goats, chickens, geckos, etc. I can picture picking this thing up and snuggling it, only to have it bite, look at me with those adorable eyes and squeak, "where is your god now?"
