Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has provoked criticism for describing Barack Obama as "young, handsome, and tanned".

Okay, the comment he made is not the WTF for me. What is WTF for me is why it's drawing criticism. The guy gives Obama a compliment, and people go ape over it? I don't get people sometimes. Am I missing something here?
