My heart longs for You
Yearns to intimately know You more
Wanting to beat in synchrony with Yours
My mind is desperate to channel Your thoughts
To be immune to the lifestyle of this world
To be absolved of fragile ideologies and relative truths
As I learn that the plans You have for me

Are not for the faint of heart
But for the committed
And who can commit if not for Your grace
If not for Your strength that is made perfect in my weakness
As I slowly begin to understand Your unconventional ways
I look back on tear-stained experiences
Onto translucent tomorrows
