Update

I think it's about time I updated.

I moved out with Dan about 3 weeks ago. I still need to tell my father, if he doesn't already know, because he needs to know about this. I'm just worried about being ex-communicated from the family for comitting a "sin" of living with someone before we are married. But seriously, one of my many reasons is:

If Dan had the option of going home to his parents house from work where he would get yelled at and not be able to do what he wants, OR, he could come to my apartment and do whatever he wants and not get yelled at, which one do you think he would choose?

I figured he would choose my apartment in which case, he might as well be paying rent there if he was going to "live" there.

Also, it just worked out well for many other reasons.

I also got my license, but my car is currently broken. My front right wheel bearing decided to start smoking the other day, so I have been taking the bus to class and work. Actually, it is a lot easier than other bus routs I've been on. And, it gets me here to campus about an hour early so I have time to update this blog and things like that!

Speaking of campus, school has been going alright. I like my classes for the most part. ARTS102 could be a bit better, but I love the girls I sit with- they're hilarious (including you, Rachel!)
SPCH130 is alright. I did my first speech on Ceramics the other day. The lady 2 people before me did hers partially on ceramics too, so I kinda sounded like a broken record, but it went alright.
HUMS211 (History of Art) is a fun class. I actually like learning about this stuff. Right now, we are studying ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia and it is very logical how they did things.

That logic and I are good friends, don't ya know.

We have our first test/quiz thing today and I think it is going to be pretty intence. I have 2 hours before hand to study though, so that will be good.

WRIT260 (Creative Writing) is a riot. The people are great. I can really relate to them. The ages of the people range in the class, which makes for good revising time. The poems we read are not what I would like them to be, but the teacher makes us critique them so we can understand them better. Currently, we are doing fiction and poetry. LOVE IT!

And last but not least, EDUC201 (Teacher Education Practicum) Here's a barrel of laughs. Are you ready? I didn't think so. For this class, we have to have 90 hours of classroom involvement and I chose good ol' East Lansing High School to spend my time. However, I went to the office on Monday to give them my papers to be Ms. Remer-Saenz's teacher aid for ceramics and jewerly and Ms. Steele basically kicked me out of the school. She said that Ms. R-S would have to have a meeting with her and a bunch of other things. So, I am going to see Ms. R-S tomorrow to sort things out. I hope this happens soon because my job depends on it. Also, the class is partially online, which I haven't caught onto yet. I take classes that are face-to-face for just that reason. I believe that Education should be done face-to-face because education is due in large part to interaction.

Other than school, I have been working my tail off trying to afford this apartment. I work nights at the local coffee shop on campus and then work the remaining time at the American Cancer Society. I like it there, but I will like it a lot better when I get the script and the rebutals down so that I don't have to worry so much. It's funny because I met a girl on campus that works at the ACS also. When I asked her where she worked, she said ACS and I immediately went into the script and she just thought I memorized the script when they called me for donations. Turns out...I work there too! I guess it was one of those "you have to be there" moments.

I tell ya tho, I have never been this busy before, but it sure does make me appreciate my weekends!

Speaking of...Saturday. My apartment. Wii party and such. Let me know if you cam come!
