To elaborate: my shoulders are red and my hands are orange.
This past weekend was the wonderful event we like to call the Great Lakes Folk Festival. Sharon and I tweaked my shirt, as per my tradition, and made it into a haulter top. I wore a thick-strapped tank top underneath it. Well, that made for one interesting burn. Silly me, I did bucket brigade for a good 3 hours in the sun on Saturday and completely forgot about sunscreen. Oopsies. So, I am paying for it now. It's not the end of the world, so everything will be ok.
But let me tell you. That aloe and me, we sure are good friends :)
Ok, so that describes the red. Now for the orange. Today, I went over to my lovely friend Priya's and she did some wonderful henna on my hands. I just hope that work will be alright with it. Even if they arent, there really isn't anything they, or myself, can do about it.
Speaking of job...I got a new job at the American Cancer Society last Monday. I'm super excited. I'll be working in the call center which isn't my dream job, but it pays $3 more an hour than I'm making now at LCC. I just have to figure out how to manage 2 part time jobs and 15 credits for 5 classes this semesters. Especially since one of those classes (Teacher Education Practicum) puts me in a classroom for observation and interaction for 90 hours during the semester. I'll probably end up dropping the LCC job even though I finally like where they are putting me and I love the people. But, I would rather go with a job with better flexible hours and much better pay.
Hmm, that's all I can think of for now.
new job,
sunburn,
