He doesn't know why he's never tried it before, look through the database, but now that he had the ability to do so, instead of questioning it, he found that he could only sit himself down on a chair and wheel himself over to the nearest computer, cracking his knuckles as he went.
"I know I saw the one who challenged you to do this," Baekhyun piped up from the doorway behind him, a nervous edge in his voice, "but if you want to back out at any point, like now, that would be okay too, you know. I won't count it against you."
Jongdae scoffed, unconvinced. "You say that now, but we all know you're going to lord it over me every chance you get if I don't do this," he shot back.
"Maybe," his friend replied, "if it were any other circumstance, but not this time."
But Jongdae wasn't listening to him anymore; his attention had been captured by something on the computer screen. An agent's profile had caught his interest.
Liyin Zhang, the title of the file read, had the single most impressive track record of any senior agent he had ever seen: it consisted of nothing at all. No missions, no research done, nothing whatsoever. Zilch.
He was drawn back to reality when Baekhyun swore sharply from his lookout post. "Shit, they're coming back!"
