This is a super random blurb that just came out of nowhere. I am still trying to grasp 6T in writing and I think I am failing miserably at it.
Some of the info in this is based on the recent Takichannel episodes and some of the recent interviews of Snow Man and 6T in magazines.
“Tease,” Hokuto muttered under his breath as he returned to the changing room he shared with Shintaro and Juri. He flopped down in front of his make-up table with a huff.
Juri grinned. “You bounced straight off him again, didn’t you? Seems like a tough nut to crack.”
Hokuto started to set his hair and only glanced back at the other’s briefly through the mirror. “I will succeed. He likes me! So I’m sure it’ll work out. Just you wait.”
Chuckling softly to himself, Juri didn’t tell the other that he thought that Hokuto was being toyed with and that he’s just falling into a trap. No he wouldn’t tell the other. Juri was having too much fun watching Hokuto getting worked up about things. About people. It was amusing to watch.
There were two shows in a day because of the weekend so all of the cast had lunch together in between. The catering area was a colourful mix and mingle with no group huddled just amongst themselves. The Kanju boys were in the midst of it all, something SixTONES and Snow Man had agreed on beforehand, to make Ryuta, Daigo and Koji feel more at ease and welcomed away from their homebase of Osaka. Things had been a bit awkward at first but by now everyone had gotten used to it.
Koji was cracking jokes left and right, making people laugh or attempt to whack him over the head - particularly bad jokes earned him a rain of balled up tissues (figurative rotten tomatoes).
Having finished his food, Hokuto set his sights on his ‘target’ again. People were starting to clear out - to get a nap, to smoke or whatever else - so there wouldn’t be too many people watching him, watching them.
Placing his hands over the other’s eyes from behind, he asked softly, “Who am I?”
“Ah, who might you be?” The other laughed softly and then hummed softly, pretending to think very hard. “Are you...Shintaro?”
“Boo!” Hokuto puffed up his cheeks. “Wrong!”
“Ah, are you… Yugo?” The other tried again.
“It’s me!! How hard is that to guess?” Hokuto pouted and let go.
A bright smile greeted Hokuto when the other turned around. “You don’t think I didn’t recognize your voice, did you? It’s pretty obvious. Even I am not that stupid.”
“Uh huh, says who?” Hokuto wouldn’t let the other tease him, no he wouldn’t.
“You’re cute.” The shorter male chuckled softly. “What is it, Hokuto? Did you want to talk to me again? I said I’m sorry I forgot to bring stuff again, right? I’ll do it tomorrow!”
Hokuto made a face. “That’s not it.” He wrapped his arms around the other and rested his chin on the shorter male’s shoulder. It was a slightly awkward position, considering their difference in height but he made it work. “You know what I want! Sakkun!” He was whining a little now.
Sakuma chuckled softly again and patted Hokuto’s arm gently. “You’re cute but you still have a long, long way to go until you get there. Keep trying, though, who knows, I might get interested.”
“Meh, Iwamoto is a liar! He said you were super easy.” Hokuto grumbled.
“He is easy. You just need to ask him the right way.” Fukazawa sauntered into the room and grabbed a bottle of tea. “Keep trying, cute little bro! I’ll cheer you on!”
“Get lost!” Hokuto stuck out his tongue. Sakuma only laughed at the exchange.
Patting Hokuto’s arm again, Sakuma got the other to let him go. “I agree with Fukka, though. You are welcome to keep trying.” He smiled. “Good luck! And now if you excuse me, I need to send a couple of emails before we have to start getting ready again. I need to take care of Miyata-kun’s wedding present. Ah, so sad I couldn’t make it to at least one of the ceremonies…”
And with that the other was gone, leaving a sulky Hokuto behind.
“No luck again, huh?” This time it was Shintaro wandering into the catering area. “You should up your game, we’re almost at the end of the run.”
“I KNOW!” Hokuto whined. “Ugh, what am I doing wrong?”
Juri joined Shintaro then, followed by Jesse. “What’s up? What’s bothering you, Hoku?”
“He’s just frustrated that the Hoku Hoku Hokuto power isn’t working on some people.” Juri explained helpfully, “It’s bouncing off of Sakuma.”
Jesse nodded and hummed a soft ‘a-ha’ before looking back at Hokuto. “You sat in his lap, you had him feed you, you had him spoil you and give you presents, what more do you even want?”
“I just want his attention and...and a kiss. Is that too much to ask?” Hokuto looked down.
“And that’s exactly why you have no friends, man,” Shintaro sighed.
Juri patted Shintaro on the back. “Dude, we can’t say anything like that. We’re his friends and we’ve all been ‘claimed’. You can’t lie to me, I totally saw it.”
“What?” Shintaro squeaked.
Jesse nodded. “Yeah. Gamushara practice, right?”
“Yup. He used the rope to pull you closer, too.” Juri grinned, while Shintaro was growing redder than the tomatoes that had been part of their lunch salad. “Was the Roppongi EX changing area for me. Behind the costume racks.”
“Crea. Our duet one.” Jesse added his. “Yugo was at Shokura.”
“I think Taiga was Crea this year.” Juri remembered. “The last one in our group. Hokuto was really proud of that one, too. So far Taiga’s been the toughest nut to crack.”
“Taiga likes me. And you guys suck!” Hokuto huffed and then stalked out of the room. He was moving down the hallway towards the changing rooms when he heard soft voices coming from one of the backstage corridors. Costume racks to be precise.
Curiosity getting the better of him, he went to check and found Fukazawa. And Sakuma.
“Oh, we got an audience.” Fukazawa pulled away. “Hi little bro~!”
“How did you??” Hokuto pointed at Fukazawa accusingly. “And I thought you-”
Sakuma lifted his phone. “I type really fast.” He licked his lips. “And Fukka asked nicely.”
“As I usually do.” Fukazawa smirked. “Good luck, Hoku Hoku!”
“I will Hoku Hoku your ass, you ass!” Hokuto tried to kick Fukazawa but the other was already out of reach.
Patting Hokuto’s shoulder, Sakuma grinned, “Good luck, Hoku Hoku.”
“Heeey!!”
When Hokuto was sulking in the changing room, it was Kochi who came to check on him just before the call to get ready for the second show for the day echoed down the corridors.
“I heard people have been teasing you?” He smiled at the other. “Do you even realise what that means?” Kochi nudged Hokuto’s side gently. “Earth to Hokuto?”
“What does it mean? Tell me group-mama.” Hokuto looked up at the other.
Kochi laughed. “Don’t call me that.” Then his expression softened again. “It means that we all like you and we’re your friends, you know? Friends tease each other and make fun of each other and mean it and yet not mean it. Like, we’re not mean about it?”
“I think that sounded and was really confusing but somehow it also makes sense.” Hokuto blinked. “At least I think I got it. But I already know that Sakkun likes me. And well, the rest of you, too. So that doesn’t really help me. Does it?”
Smiling, Kochi crossed his arms in front of his chest. “Ah, maybe you just have to have a little bit more patience. I think it’s because it’s too much fun to keep you hanging.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Hokuto blustered.
Juri came to Kochi’s rescue then. “That means it’s hilarious to watch you getting all worked up about this. Do you realize your reactions are super cute? It’s a side of you that we get to see but nobody else does, so can you blame us for cherishing it?”
“Also, Sakuma’s totally into the whole gap thing. So don’t blame him either.” Kochi pointed out. “And you’re totally one of the people with a huge gap. Being the sexy cool guy on the one hand and the super dorky puppy idiot on the other.”
“Did you just call me a puppy idiot?” Hokuto raised an eyebrow.
“With love. I did it with love!” Kochi raised his hands in defense.
Hokuto forgot about things again for a while with the show taking up all of his attention and then the exhaustion afterwards. He made his way home and was out like a light the moment his head hit the pillows. It wasn’t until the next afternoon that the thoughts returned.
It was upon spotting Sakuma’s rather bright shock of hair walking down the corridor just as Hokuto stepped into the theater. For one moment he considered jogging up to catch up with the other but decided against it. It would probably be useless anyway. So he made his way over slowly, nodded to the security guy and the staff members he encountered on the way until he got closer to the changing rooms.
He had just stepped into his changing room when two strong hands grabbed him and pushed him up against the wall by the door. The next thing he knew was the feeling of a soft, warm pair of lips on his own. Eyes widened, he looked down to find Sakuma, eyes dark and intense, focused entirely on him. Hokuto gasped softly in surprise and then moaned softly when Sakuma used that moment to deepen the kiss a little bit.
When the other let go, Hokuto had to catch his breath again.
“I know it’s hard to cope with all the teasing. So I thought I should stop.” Sakuma grinned at Hokuto. “I hope that was what you were hoping for. Considering you’ve been waiting for a while, I did my best to do things properly.”
Hokuto tried to get his brain to work again, to get his voice to come out, to get ANYTHING to work in order to react. “Holy shit.” Was what finally left his lips.
“Well he sure doesn’t sound disappointed. So I think all’s good,” Juri commented, walking past the two and then waving as he said his greetings. “Hello, hello everyone. How are you this fine day?” He shared a high-five with Sakuma. “Ooh, is that bag what I think it is?”
“It sure is.” Sakuma handed it to the other. “I leave it up to you guys to pick for yourselves. No fighting, though, or I’ll take everything back!”
“Yes’sir!” Juri mock-saluted.
With a mock-salute of his own and then a gentle scrunching of Hokuto’s hair as he passed the other, Sakuma left the changing room of the three members of SixTONES.
Hokuto looked at Juri. “Making friends is awesome!” He still seemed a little out of it.
Juri snorted softly. “Just don’t make friends like that outside of the agency, man. Or it might get you into shit. Inside is fair game, though.”
Giving Juri a thumbs up, Hokuto nodded. “Fantastic.”
