Hidden Prophecies Progress?
Well, it was my first go at Harry Potter fan fiction, and also the first thing that fizzled out. It's co-written by a real life friend, so when we can't seem to get our schedules together, nothing happens with it. Since September. So anyway, we've periodically been discussing ways to rev ourselves back up about it, because we both really like the story, and we've put many hours of work into it already.
It occurred to me today that we're both really enjoying online RP at the moment (rainbowwisher has been into it far longer than I), so I wondered what would happen if I created an lj community and treated it like an RP? She liked the idea, we divided up the primary and secondary POV characters, I made it, and voila!
Dividing them up was fun. I took:

Hermione
Tonks
Bill
Percy
Fred (NOT DEAD IN MY STORIES, DAMMIT...not that this is DH-compliant....)
Luna
Rafe (Harry & Ginny's son)
Bella (one of Ron & Hermione's eldest twins)
Elise (the "mystery" Weasley)
Rainbowwisher got:

Bax (the other eldest twin)
Melia (Luna's daughter)
Malcolm (Luna's husband)
Mohinder (the new Potions Master)
Izzy (Fred and George's assistant)
We tried to set it up so that neither of us had both parts of a couple/sibling/best friend pairing. If we do end up with a scene between two people who are both, say, mine, then RW will just use a generic character avatar and temporarily take over one of mine. You get the picture. :-)
The plan is to RP it and then transcribe/translate it into fan fiction format. I suspect that will be my job, which is fine with me.
So here's hoping we can get something done this way. ;-) If nothing else, it'll be fun while it lasts!
