Harper's Island

Apparently I was in the mood to just be completely lazy and watch TV this weekend. I got started and just couldn't stop.

The 5 episodes of Harper's Island that are available (on Netflix instant viewing, yay!) were awesome. Blasphemy or not, I was honestly more addicted to those than to Dollhouse. It definitely has the miniseries feel to it, even though it's broken into hour-long episodes. More like a movie than a TV show. I'm intrigued by the characters; I adore Abby and distrust everyone else, even Henry. Especially because of the whole thing with the money and the dead body. I mean, come on! The boat sinking is no excuse, even it's because your friend shot a hole in it. Nice, upstanding guys don't let murders go unsolved. :P Got this one set on my PVR to record the rest. 8 more episodes to go.

I was gonna check out Fringe, but only episodes 10-20 are available on Fox's site/Hulu, and I'm not in the mood to dig around for 1-10. I wouldn't have time to finish them today anyway, and I'd probably get caught up in other non-TV things in the meantime. So I'm sure it's for the best. It's kind of nice to be caught up to current with a few things, though.

By the way, in case anyone has an Xbox 360, a Wii or one of several other supported devices you can hook to the net, check out TVersity. Downloaded it last night, added my Beyond TV (something else you should check out!) folders to the library, and BOOM - watching my video files on my TV, no annoyingly time-consuming DVD burning needed. Between that and Netflix, I could do nothing but watch TV and movies 24/7 and probably not repeat anything for several years. Good thing I tire of it easily, otherwise I'd end up doing just that.
