Trust didn't come easy to him. It never had. Since his return from Peru, however, he found it harder and harder to rely on anyone. It cost him his marriage to a woman he really did care for.
Now he had to learn to depend on someone. Blair. He already discovered how not trusting the younger man could cost him his life. And while most of the time he acted as if his life didn't mean anything. What he did with it did mean something. In order to continue to do what he was doing, he needed to trust Blair.
