Very excitingly, Raima (Rhyme - ar) has now joined our family! She's so like the boys - today was the Interschool sports carnival for all the Schools of the Air and I watched with fascination as, just like Tim and Sam, she performed very well. Tim won everything he entered by a considerable way, Sam and Raima won all the short distances and came second in the longer events. She would like to go to uni and study medicine - like Tim. She's doing very well with school for a little girl who spent much of the last few years nursing her mother. In character she's like Rafael - sanguine, reasonable and organised - Rafael is very like Martin's mother, Raima's Mum, so it isn't so surprising. By birth Raima is Martin's cousin and by relationship his little sister - and the boys have currently called her Auntie Raima and she has called us Namou Martin and Sissy Jo - but we are hoping it will just become Mum and Dad over the next few years.
I am too tired to write it all as the fabulous story it is - and one part of the story is undoubtedly woman writes parenting book and is then unexpectedly given an extra child - but will get there.
