Whats the big deal?
What is the big deal about drugs and drinking?
Seriously I mean I just don't understand. I mean I don't care what you do in your spare time, despite how it may seem sometimes, but I just wonder why so many choose that. I mean here is why..
1) It's so expensive for a one time fix
2) You have a good time but remember none of it sometimes
3) It's fucking risky even if you know what you're doing
4) There are better things you could do with your time
5) People get so hooked on the stuff and it's sad
6) So many mistakes are made that can't be undone
I mean is reality that bad that you have to alter the way your mind works in order to feel happy about things. In my opinion drugs and drinking just dull whatever you're trying not to deal with. I mean if you drink sometimes, then fine whatever, but some people drink every night or get together with friends and do it constantly...you're with people and you can't find anything better to do?
I dunno, I spend my free time listening to music which fuels ideas to draw in my sketchbook. I draw of course. I talk with friends or watch movies with them or something. We talk about the dorkiest stuff but still it's good enough for us. Hell I've even taught myself Japanese in my free time. I sometimes just think things through and relax but walking or laying on my bed.
People may say I'm addicted to my graphic novels and anime and such but still I can pick them up whenever and read/watch them and still enjoy them more than once and it was a one time price. Sometimes I draw things from them or just doodle or whatever. I just don't think it's risky to ruin your brain with something that could have unpredictable results. People go to the hospital from alcohol poisoning, fainting in random places, seizures from over dose, acoma and of course death. At least I know that the most I could get from my graphic novels is a paper cut. And trust me I've woken up from a seizure and it's scary as fuck so why take the risk of doing that to yourself?
