I just managed to wipe out the entry I was making here a minute ago. How? So I'll try again. I went down to Yorkshire this weekend, including a visit to York on Saturday evening, when I met some people and had a starter in an Indian restaurant before catching the 9.57 train to Knaresborough. This was instead of meeting one of these people in between my train journeys on Sunday. I have also been on a few walks recently - one from Auchtermuchty and the other to see the Falkirk wheel. The Falkirk wheel is a feat of engineering which uses Archimedes' principle in conveying boats. I have also been reading Paradise Lost, which I've finished, so I'm paying more attention to other things now.
