Back to the old grind I suppose, except that I'm way behind in all my work (like everyone else in the Valley, apparently) and I've had a migraine on and off for the last week. Throbbing pain, flashes of light, hallucinations, nausea, sensitivity to smell (the smell of eggs and toast this morning almost made me throw up, seriously), and generally bitchiness; I got the whole package. This morning it was so bad that I ended up lying on the floor crying. Don't know how I'm going to deal with that and get all my work done at the same time, but I think I've dealt with worse in the past and will be OK now...
Has anyone ever tried excedrin migraine? Is there anything in it that I can't get from two ibuprofin and a cup of coffee? That seems to be the only cure so far that actually works...
It was good to be home for Thanksgiving though, and I kind of wish I hadn't come back. I need Christmas break, and I need it soon. Or a good sedative. That would be nice too.
On the upside, I got two papers written in the last twenty four hours, and even though I'm starting to feel seriously burned out, I think I'm going to be getting my second wind in the next couple of days. Or maybe I've just had too much caffeine today.
