Survivor Island: The First Challenge
Welcome, survivors.
You find yourselves stranded on an island in the south pacific, the land body no more than two miles wide and five miles long. In the center, the foliage is dense, but along the perimeter-where you will find your camps-there is nothing but white, sandy beaches.
To the East lies the camp of Gatsby's Green Team; the West, the Huckleberry Blue Bandits; and to the South, the Twelfth Yellow Knights. You have been notified the name of the team to which you belong, but you do not yet know your teammates.
Your first challenge is a race. You have until midnight, Monday morning, to complete it, but waste no time. If your team is not the first to complete the challenge, then the survivor who faired the poorest will face elimination. Time will be measured based on your time zone, so Californian who posts after a New Foundlander may actually have posted "before."
Visit Dictionary.com's Word of the Day feature and select one of the June, 2006, words. Respond below with the word used correctly in a sentence. If two people use the same word, then both players must select another, regardless of who posted first. The first team to complete the challenge will be immune to elimination, but the final two will lose their weakest players.
