LibraryThing allows you to make a catalog of your books online as well find new books to read by seeing the libraries of folks with similar interests. You can even use tags!
And speaking of tags, here's a quick rundown on how I tag posts:
- If it's a weekly feature, it gets a feature tag. Like this post, for instance.
- If it's not a weekly feature, I tag by your username, like "user: username"
- Then I tag by type. If it's up for critique, the two biggest ones are "type: poetry" and "type: prose". Prompt responses get tagged with "type: prompt response". Other tags include "type: nonfiction", "type: revision", "type: script", "type: scifi/fantasy", "type: erotica", and "type: lyrics". Some of those I'm not in the habit of automatically tagging, but if your post is one of them, feel free to apply them as you see fit.
- If it's not a work for critique, it's going to fall under one or more of: "type: discussion", "type: intro", "type: promotion", "type: publish announcements", "type: reference/resource", or "type: question".
- Note that if your post gets tagged something it shouldn't be, only a moderator can remove the tag, so you'll have to contact one! If you feel we're missing a tag category, let us know and we'll create it for you.
