Writing Experience: I have been writing my whole life, a few things are published via online compilation and one short story won an author's showcase some years ago. I want to take things more seriously and begin to truly develop myself as a writer and I think this community will help with that quite a bit.

Education: Ideally I will start school in the fall for the first time. It is a late start, but better late than never. Life has just presented me with the ability to do it and I'm so excited about it.

What do you hope to get from this community? The prompting of a weekly or several weekly projects will get me going again, it has been a while. Feedback and critique will let me know what I need to improve upon, what my bad habits are, and where my strengths lie. And reading new poetry every day is always a bonus.
Where did you hear of us? I have several friends in poetryslamming communities I watch, and every applicant turned down is recommended to this community and one other to help hone their skills. I finally decided that I have the time and should just suck it up and get to writing again.
