I talked to my dad over the weekend for Father's Day. Usually I just send a card, but this year I felt it was important to actually call. I thought he'd have a lot to say about me not being a lawyer anymore but he was...refreshingly indifferent. It put a few things in perspective for me.
In my last entry I said I was moving on, but (and I'm a little embarrassed to admit it) I've still been going to court. To be honest, I've been sneaking into Klavier Gavin's cases. I'm not sure what I'm expecting to find, because I don't understand him now any better than I did before, but I think I'll keep my eye on him a little longer.
Well, maybe not in person as much. I'll be busy during the days now that I have a job! A pretty good job, even--Ambassador Palaeno at the Cohdopian Ambassy was kind enough to welcome me as a clerk. I'm trying not to wonder what the Chief would think of it.
Anyway, thanks Detective Gumshoe for recommending me to the Ambassador. I really appreciate it! I'm going to put everything I have into my new job, because I know I'm lucky to have it.
