I'm such a slut for craft supplies.

See, I already had the bottle of Mod Podge, so when the packs of decoupage tissue (Old World! Woodland!) caught my eye I was helpless to resist. Helpless, I tell you.

Now, what the hell am I doing? I know the basics: apply MP to surface, put pretty things on it, cover with MP in layers. But do I start right on bare wood, or what? Is there some form of primer involved? How about kraft paper boxes? I've got a little kraft paper chest I could start on, and if I fuck it up hey, the thing was a dollar, I won't cry. Can you decoupage with stuff heavier than tissue? I bet cardstock's too thick, but I have piles of scrapbooking papers (that I picked up in other moments of weakness, yes, shut up) just itching to do something better than, you know, take up space on my floor in my closet.

I know there are books on this stuff, but I am impatient. A website of handy tips would be pretty much ideal :D

*pauses and looks around room... stamps, ink pads, tatting shuttles, mizuhiki cord, crochet hooks, beads, wire, half-finished crossstitch and paperpaperpaper everywhere*

You know, some days I think it's possible I have A Problem. La la la...
