So I finished my first read through of Deathly Hallows and now I have some thoughts..... SPOILERS
I was so scared to read this book it is the end of an era for me and I was worried that something would happen that would ruin the series for me. (The Trio or Ginny dying) And every sentence I read was on step closer to the end. But I have to say that I loved this book, sure there were somethings I didn't like but all in all it was great.
I was sad to see so many people die, some of them needed to go but some just seemed a little senseless. Though I am really glad that Hagrid made it through I was really hoping that it would be Percy, not Fred that died. But his death was really well done and in character, he died making a joke and that is all we could have asked for. I knew Lupin was going to die as soon as he asked Harry to be godfather, but it still killed me when he and Tonks died. Though I would have liked to see it.
Is it just me or did the whole Snape/Lily flashback feel a little bit like Fanfiction. I kept thinking "didn't I read this somewhere?" Though it was still awesome and I loved that Harry vindicated Snape in front of everyone.
I loved the Mrs Weasley smack down and Neville's chance to finally prove that he belongs in Gryffindor too. I would have loved to see more in the Epilogue to show us what they are all doing now that they are grown up. But all in all I loved it.
These are just my first impressions from my read through I am starting the book again today and will probably have more to say later.
