Emily's gone on her school trip to Washington DC tonight and consequently, I have the house to myself. It's so very quiet that, when I went in search of an odd noise, I discovered I was listening to Alex washing. At the other end of the house.
The cats are not thrilled- especially kitten who insisted I open Emily's door and was disappointed when Emily wasn't asleep in her room. For myself, I decided this afternoon that I could spend the next couple of days missing her terribly and worrying all the time or I could enjoy the quiet and miss her just a bit.
