Just got back from CO camp awhile ago, crashed on the bed and slept for an hour or so before being woken up by the elder bother.
Camp was awesomely fun :D We mostly had sectionals (15 hours over 3 days LOL), with games at night. I just blogged a whole chunk but I didn't have the motivation to finish it so I'll... summarise everything. Sectionals= loadsa practice with my au sm section. I have nais sectionmates :D Water games were at night, where we pelted each other to death with water bombs and I got my revenge on Minjie & Shawn (NH & AC senior) hiak hiak hiak! Minjie and I were pretty much fighting with each other with bombs. Do NOT insert some barb about how violent I am or mwotever cos like half of ACCO is as violent as me (OR EVEN MORE). It's double the fun!
Oh yeah before the games we went to Essential Brew for dinner, and I had to line up thrice to get food cos whenever I reached the buffet table all the food was wiped out. After dinner half of the orchestra walked away with helium balloons tied to our wrists like little kids! Lulu (Real name Lucas, bassist) and I were the only ones with balloons in our section though (cos the rest doesn't indulge their inner child) and he had pink while I had blue. Irony much XD
On the second day we played a game called the Human Tangle in the lecture theatre. OMG it was awesome win! So in your group you grab anyone's hand randomly. As long as it isn't the hand of the person beside you it's fine. You have to untangle yourself and form a circle without letting go of the hands. I was completely fail and could only stand and laugh my ass off while the others directed and tried not to twist arms/ themselves. It was still okay when we were in our own groups of like 5 or 6, but then we combined with another group and ended up with like... 20 people trying to untangle themselves simultaneously LOL. I almost died laughing (and not contributing teehee).
At night we played Capture the Flag, where we had water bombs taped to our backs. In short, we have to cross over to the enemies' territory and try to retrieve our flag without dying (without anyone bursting our water bomb). That was virtually impossible unless you're some speed demon like Shawn/ Minjie (THE TWO OF THEM WERE IN THE SAME GROUP. TELL ME, HOW DO YOU DEFEAT PEOPLE LIKE THEM?). I got killed one but I got regenerated HAHAHHAHA. Although there wasn't any clear-cut winner at the end of the game, I was pretty happy with myself cos I killed someone LOL. I was determined not to end the game without making any contributions, so... I burst someone's water bomb with a vengeance and flung the water bomb to the ground with a silent victory cry
Today was the last day of camp and we had group practice, which made the songs we'd been practicing sound much more awe-inspiring! In all seriousness, songs sound waaaaay better when being played by the full orchestra/band. I start playing more dramatically and I'm more into the music so it just turns out sounding better that when I play alone (or maybe it's just cos my playing blends in with everyone else's and I can't hear my own mistakes hehe)
We have AU SM songs for enCOre (annual CO concert) that even Mary Zzeng will love SO YOU GUYS BETTER COME. IT'S IN JUNE.
Went back to Nanhua after camp broke to get my O Level cert and MY AWARD. Apparently I've been awarded some monies for a bilingual award cos I got an A1 for both English and Chinese. It's my first MOE cheque award since Primary 1; can you believe how much of an underachiever I am? Well... MOE clearly hasn't heard me speaking Mandarin with my angmoh accent :D BUT NO MATTER, THANK YOU FOR THE AWARD GUYS.
Stacks of homework: undone. KBox outing: not yet confirmed. Ok Nicole I'm really really sorry for my super late replies (:
Shopping: Forget about it ): Unless THE PEOPLE WHO WENT TO ORCHARD CENTRAL LAST WEEK WITHOUT CALLING MINJIE AND I ALONG ASKS ME OUT. <- I obviously fail at subtlety, so if you don't get the hint, I have no other way to get the point across~
