It's 2 in the morning and I should really be asleep...

... but I'm not.

Was watching Crows' Zero II AND EVERYONE HAS TO WATCH IT. Like I said, I judge purely on the superficial side of it so I'll just grab a few choice quotes from reviews of the movie.

fyi: Miike Takashi is the director and Suzuran is the one of the schools where the mega-violent (if you consider me violent you should see them) juvenile delinquents belong to.

That said, Miike directs with an energy, velocity and cheeky bravado that are pure punk. He also understands why his Suzuran toughs fight as easily as they breathe - it's not just a release for their raging hormones, but a way of being with their friends and telling the world they exist. Even with the bashed heads, they are alive in a way their better socialized contemporaries, the video-game warriors included, will never understand.- Mike Schilling
I'm gonna just cut and paste the premise of the movie since I suck at summarising Crows' Zero's awesomeness:

CZ: The movie was the untold story behind the characters in Suzuran, the most violent high school that have never been conquered by anyone else along its history. (wiki)

CZII: Basically about the rivalry between Suzuran and their -well- rival school, Housen. Culminates in mad fistfights and crazy sparring, which in my book trumps weapons. (myself)

It also stars two of my favourite Japanese actors: Oguri Shun & Haruma Miura!

(Wading, if I see any chest jokes about Oguri Shun your comment will be slayed/ killed/ murdered/ die a painful death. I know, freedom of speech etc etc. So I made it up by doing something you will definitely appreciate.)

ANIW ME NOT ALLOWING CHEST JOKES IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THIS. You need to read this. Honestly, WTF.

YOU WILL APPRECIATE THIS:

and because Oguri Shun will forever remain my bias:

TEEHEE.

I really need an Oguri Shun eljay icon...
