I have just finished rereading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Now I am readly to watch the movie. Too bad I can't go to the premiere because I have to freaking work!!
Anyway, if you haven't read the books, I'll leave the rest behind the cut.
I remember reading the first time and literally crying from about the time Fred died until after Harry did. This time I didn't cry quite so much, but I totally burst into tears when Snape died. I think it's because, unlike the first time, we didn't know what we know now about how much Snape did and how awful it was for him to just die like that. So, this time around his death was really painful for me. I keep thinking that I hope they do it justice. I feel Snape's death and the reveal of his past with Lily and Dumbledore really is a major defining moment in the books, and they better damn well do it right in the movie!!!
And if I can quote John Cuzak from Hot Tube Time Machine, "He may be an asshole, but he's our asshole."
