I looked for good buttons with military style insignia or crests on them but was disappointed - any time I found ones I liked there were never 18 of them. I think there will be skull and crossbones for the main lot, the cuff buttons will be a little smaller and look like the skull ones without a skull. Purple will be confined to one gargoyle pin, as the symbols just to perfect to pass up on =)
I'm very hopeful the coat will be positively epic - so long as I pay attention to what I'm doing and don't rush anything. Might see if I've got some cheap scraggy cotton somewhere to do a mock-up with, that would be sensible...
*laughs* Sadlyfoxears comes from playing a kitsune for a while in a larp game. It was her way of describing how someone looked or sounded when - being person shaped - their ears couldn't droop. (You can also mime it by holding your hands up like lets-pretend fox ears and then making your fingers curl down whilst assuming a dejected expression.) It's one of those phrases I now use all the time, forgetting it's not common parlance =P
