No deadlines. No word limits. No stress. Just plain piloty goodness.
See a prompt you like? Write about it! The purpose of this exercise is to create drabbles and ficlets. Post your replies to this thread, instead of to the community, and leave behind some ideas to inspire others!
So, read the prompts, write a story, submit a prompt and spread the cheer!
1) Please attempt 100 words. Don't worry if your story winds up longer or shorter, but try to keep your addition contained in one comment post. The warm-up drabble round is completely unofficial and designed to get the creative juices flowing for the Annual Ficathon, but we don't want to burn anyone out before things really get started!
2) Post your story as a reply to the comment the prompt is from.
3) Use your selected prompt as your response subject. If you just want to comment without posting a story, leave the subject line blank. This will make it easier to navigate once the threads start collapsing.
4) Clearly label any applicable content as Not Safe For Work. If posting an entry with NSFW content, please add [NSFW] to the subject line and the top of the post.
5) After writing your drabble, list at least three prompts of your own design at the end of your story. This will add fresh ideas to the prompt pool and entice people to read and comment on your story!
6) Prompts should generally be short, no more than a sentence. Prompts may include characters and/or pairings. In that case, try to also include some word prompt (i.e. Donos/Lara, reunion), unless you feel your configuration of characters is exotic enough to be inspiring on its own.
7) The same prompts may be filled multiple times. There is no limit to how many responses, or how far back you post. If inspiration strikes, use it! Don't hold back!
