I made an oopsie
About a week or so ago, I sent my in-laws an e-mail mentioning that GMInor would like a telescope for Christmas. Since then, I sent two other e-mails asking abotu Christmas-related things, but I haven't heard back from them on any of them. GMajor has received many calls from them regarding computer and e-mail issues, so I assumed that they simply didn't receive the messages.
So, with the help of davesbrain, I researched and then purchased a beginner telescope early Saturday morning when we were in Toronto, since this isn't the sort of thing that we have in Stratford. While I was still visiting in Toronto, my father-in-law called GMajor to tell him that he had just bought a telescope. When GMajor mentioned that I had too, his dad went ballistic. Apparently, he was shouting and insisting that GMajor phone me on my cell right now and sort this all out.
Long story short, we now have TWO expensive telescopes for GMinor and a apoplectic grandpa.
At some point, I have to call and apologize and, while I've been typing this, I have dodged a call from him, so you can tell how excited I am about making that call.
